Amazon.com Review
Step up to the extra power of the DeWALT14.4-volt XRP battery pack. This high-capacity NiCad (nickel cadmium) battery delivers 40 percent more run time than standard NiCads. That means you can work longer—drive more screws, bore more holes—and spend less time swapping out and recharging batteries.

The XRP pack, which stands for eXtended Run-time Performance, will fit all of ’s 14.4-volt cordless tools and chargers, except its Univolt tools. Finally, remember to recycle your old batteries. –Joseph Truini

14.4v batteries5
I have about 16 dw 14.4v batteries over the past six years for various dw tools. Not one problem to date

Good additional battery4
This is a good battery to get for an existing drill. My husband used his other battery so much that it wouldn’t hold a charge anymore, which will happen to this one as well. That is why I gave it only a 4 star instead of a 5 star rating. Overall, it is a good battery to go with a good drill.
